Our current desk-research framework considers published dimensions and materials, care instructions, warranty terms, retailer availability, owner feedback patterns and current pricing.
What owner reports can and cannot tell us
Owner reviews are useful for spotting recurring complaints such as loose hardware, uneven platens or difficult seasoning. They are not a substitute for controlled testing, so we describe them as owner reports rather than measurements.
Affiliate relationships
Amazon and other affiliate relationships can pay Tortilleras when a reader buys through a labeled link. They do not change the ranking criteria. If a product has no approved affiliate route, we would rather show no button than publish a broken or misleading link.
Future hands-on reviews
When Tortilleras begins buying or receiving presses for real-world testing, each guide will identify the test conditions and what was measured. Existing research-based rankings will stay labeled as such.
